The Independent Shop Next Door

Auto Repair for Jerome Drivers

Jerome sits right on our doorstep. Tizzano Automotive is an owner-operated shop in Plain City, and for most of Jerome it is a short drive rather than a trip into Dublin or Columbus for the same work at dealership rates.

Nick spent twelve years as a dealership technician before opening his own shop. What changed is who you deal with. There is no service advisor passing messages between you and the bay. The person who diagnoses your car is the person who repairs it, and he is the one who calls you about what he found.

What We Handle Most:
  • Brake repair, from a squeal through to a full pad and rotor job
  • Check engine lights and drivability faults that need real diagnosis
  • Suspension, steering and wheel bearing work
  • Exhaust repair, tires, scheduled maintenance and general repair

Worth Asking Any Shop

Plenty of shops are within reach of Jerome, which is exactly why it is worth knowing what separates them. These are fair questions to put to any of them, including this one, before you hand over the keys.

Before You Leave Your Car:
  • Will you tell me what you found before you start the repair?
  • Can I see the old part, or the measurement that condemned it?
  • Are you diagnosing the cause, or replacing the part named in the code?
  • Do I get the choice between parts, or is that decided for me?
  • Who actually works on my car, and can I speak to them?

A shop that answers those comfortably is usually a shop worth using. One that gets vague about them is telling you something too.

What Jerome Drivers Say

A genuine Google review from a customer who lists Jerome as home.

  • "Nick was able to get me on the books and complete the strut replacements on my vehicle in under 24 hours. He also arranged an alignment on my behalf on short notice. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process, and the pricing was fair and transparent. I'll definitely return for future repairs."

What Changes When You Leave the Service Drive

  • 01

    You talk to the technician

At a dealership your description of the problem passes through an advisor before it reaches anyone holding a wrench, and the findings come back the same way. Here the person diagnosing the car is the person calling you about it.

  • 02

You get the choice on parts

Original equipment is the right answer on some jobs and an expensive habit on others. You hear what the options cost and what the practical difference is, then you decide rather than having it decided quietly.

  • 03

Diagnosis is the job, not the upsell

Replacing the part a trouble code happens to name is quick and often wrong. Testing the circuit and confirming the cause takes longer and is the reason the same light does not come back a month later.

  • 04

You can see what came off

Old parts are kept for you to look at, and a condemned component comes with the measurement that condemned it. Trust is easier to give when it can be checked.

  • 05

The shop says no when it should

Air conditioning, transmission rebuilds and internal engine work are not done here. Saying so plainly is better than taking the car in and handing you a disappointment three days later.

  • 06

    The shop is nearby

Jerome sits close to the shop, which matters more than it sounds when a repair needs the vehicle overnight and somebody has to come back for it.

What to Expect

How a Visit Works

Knowing how an appointment runs makes the first visit a lot easier.

  • 01

    Call or Text First

Tell us the vehicle and what it is doing. This is a one-technician shop, so scheduling ahead means your car gets looked at rather than parked.

  • 02

    Drop the Car Off

Bring anything you have noticed about when the problem happens, because that detail saves diagnostic time later.

  • 03

    Findings Before Work

You get a call with what was found, how it was confirmed and what the repair involves. Nothing proceeds until you have agreed to it.

  • 04

    Repair and Pick Up

The work is completed and road tested before you collect it, and you are welcome to ask to see whatever came off the car.

Common Questions

Questions from Jerome Drivers

  • Yes. Jerome is one of the closest communities to the shop, and drivers there are welcome to book in for anything we handle. The shop itself is in Plain City and every repair is carried out there.

  • 7650 Industrial Pkwy, Suite B2. The easiest way to find us is the pin on our Google listing, or call (614) 802-6549 and we will talk you in.

  • Not in-house. Alignments need equipment we do not currently have, so rather than pretend otherwise we arrange it for you when suspension or steering work calls for one. It is handled, just not under our roof.

  • Not at the moment. Air conditioning service requires equipment the shop has not purchased yet, so we would rather tell you plainly than take the car in and disappoint you. The same goes for transmission rebuilds and internal engine work.

  • It depends entirely on the job. A tire rotation or an oil change is a short wait. Anything that needs diagnosis is better dropped off, because chasing an intermittent fault properly takes as long as it takes and rushing it is how the wrong part gets replaced.

  • It comes down to what you want from the visit. A dealership has the brand tooling and a service drive, and for warranty work that is the right call. What you give up is access. Here you speak directly to the technician working on your car, you hear what was actually found before anything is replaced, and you can ask to see the old part. That is what this shop is built around.
